Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this continuing pharmacy education activity, pharmacist participants should be able to:

  1. Identify situations where initiating opioids is appropriate.
  2. Choose an appropriate duration of an initial opioid prescription.
  3. Identify methods to assess and minimize risk of opioid use.
  4. Select appropriate opioids and doses depending on patient's pain

Activity Evaluation & CPE Submission Requirements: In order to receive continuing pharmacy education credit, attendees must complete an activity evaluation and CPE submission online at www.CESally.com.  After successful CPE submission, attendees may print their official CPE Monitor Transcript through their CPE Monitor account at nabp.pharmacy  It may take 24 to 48 hours for credit to be visible on CPE Monitor.  For CESally system requirements, please go to https://www.cesally.com/help/systemrequirements/

For PTCB recertification, CPhTs may use up to 5 hours of P-specific CE credit hours and CPhT-Adv up to 10 hours of P-specific credit hours.
