ICHP Pharmacy Action Fund

  • Do you think Pharmacists are health care professionals?
  • Would you like to have more say in how your profession is regulated?
  • Is there more that you can do to make a difference for your patients and their care?

If you answered "YES" to any or all of the questions above, it's time to step up and make a contribution to the ICHP Pharmacy Action Fund!

The ICHP Pharmacy Action Fund was established by the Illinois Council of Health-System Pharmacists to collect contributions from ICHP members and friends of pharmacy for the purpose of supporting Illinois General Assembly and Constitutional Officer candidates who advance patient and pharmacy friendly legislation and regulation. These contributions help worthy candidates with their campaigns.

The Boards of Directors of ICHP and the ICHP Pharmacy Action Fund know that no one pharmacist, pharmacy technician, or pharmacy student can influence the Illinois General Assembly on their own. These Board members also realize that it is a monumental task for a small group to have an impact on legislation in Springfield. What they have learned is that many contributors of reasonable sums can supply a significant level of support for those legislators that can and have made a difference for our profession and the patients we serve.

This campaign is the beginning of an enthusiastic and dedicated effort to improve patient care and advance pharmacy practice through the synergy of ICHP member financial support, the Division of Government Affairs planning, and one-on-one lobbying in Springfield and around the State. Your individual contributions will provide the foundation for our efforts. This is the time for you to step-up to the challenge if you want to see significant change with the coming elections.

Contributions to the ICHP Pharmacy Action Fund are not considered charitable contributions by the IRS.
