ACPE-Accredited Continuing Education Overview

The Illinois Council of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.

ICHP provides quality continuing education activities for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.  Activities are conducted through different formats, including:

• Live webinars (0.5 Hour, 1.0 Hour +)
• Live presentations (0.5 Hour, 1.0 Hour +)
• Enduring webinars (0.5 Hour +)
• Enduring written content (0.5 Hour +)

Joint Providers
ICHP develops and accredits its own CE programs, as well as provides accreditation services for other organizations. Health-systems and organizations that wish to accredit continuing education activities for pharmacists and/or pharmacy technicians within their health-system, hospital, clinic, or academic insitution may contact us for information on our accreditation process and pricing. Grant-Funded Continuing Education
Commercially-sponsored accredited activities will evaluate active learning and engagement through a multitude of strategies dependent upon the program design. Outcomes reporting will be provided to the commercial sponsor and include changes in learning assessment and knowledge, assessment of bias, and open ended feedback on the topic, faculty speaker, and other educational areas of interest to the learners. The de-identified and aggregrate outcomes report will be sent to the commercial sponsor as outlined in the agreement.

ICHP creates and produces unbiased continuing education activities based on learner needs and thorough clinical and education gap analyses. We comply with all ACPE/ACCME Standards of Commercial Support, regulations, and standards of interaction within the PhRMA Code. Email Sharon (above) for more information.

 

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Learning Portfolio

The following CPD Portfolio (updated 09/2025) is available for your use courtesy of the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy and ACPE. The NC model was adapted from the 5-state pilot and the Ontario College of Pharmacists. You may download the complete document or print off individual worksheets as you need them. These documents are a tool to assist you in planning, recording and reflecting upon your continuing professional development. CPD Contents include:
