Dear Illinois Pharmacy Resident or Fellow,
It is my honor to extend a formal invitation to become involved within the Illinois Council of Health-System Pharmacists (ICHP), New Practitioners Network (NPN). Since its inception in 2003, the NPN has served as a valuable foundation for new practitioners navigating the beginning of their professional careers. NPN provides high-quality leadership and professional development opportunities, hosting events focused on topics relevant to new practitioners, and fostering meaningful professional and personal connections through formal mentorship and community-building.
The NPN mission is “growing new voices through connections.” Through participation in NPN, residents and fellows can explore professional topics and new domains outside of their practice site. The network provides a supportive environment for peer discussions and continued professional growth in conjunction with a residency or fellowship program. Members can share their experiences, perspectives, and advice, while also forging new relationships with other new practitioners, residents, fellows, and experienced pharmacists across the state. Additionally, residents and fellows will have the opportunity to grow their professional “voice” through events that involve the entirety of the ICHP membership, such as professional advocacy, continuing education and training opportunities, social events, and networking at various state-wide and national meetings and conferences
I encourage you to check us out on social media and this residency page of our website, which outlines the great opportunities and benefits provided by ICHP NPN.
On behalf of ICHP New Practitioners Network, we look forward to your opportunity to “grow your new voice through connections”. If you have any questions about the New Practitioners Network, please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly.
