At the conclusion of this knowledge-based continuing pharmacy education activity, pharmacist participants should be able to:
1. Review the American College of Physicians' updated Best Practice Advice (BPA) for short-course antibiotics.
2. Identify and explain lab values and Rapid Molecular Diagnostic Test results that are pertinent to infectious diseases.
3. Describe how the above lab results and BPA can be used to streamline antimicrobial therapy in practice.
