Objectives- Summarize regulatory and policy changes as well as recommendations for antimicrobial stewardship at the state and national level
- Review current guidelines for appropriate antimicrobial use for particular disease states
- Apply effective behavior change and communication techniques to manage patient expectations and enhance health care team engagement towards optimizing antimicrobial use
- Discuss evidence-based strategies for implementing and evaluating antimicrobial stewardship programs and interventions
