Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this knowledge-based continuing pharmacy education activity, pharmacist participants should be able to:
1. Recall mechanisms of action of medications used for management of heart failure.
2. Discuss current guideline directed regimens recommended by the ACC/AHA guidelines for management of heart failure.
3. Discuss landmark clinical trials used to develop current guidelines for management of heart failure.

PTCB requires CPhTs to submit 20 hours of pharmacy technician-specific (‘T-specific’) continuing pharmacy education (CPE) to qualify for recertification. Please advise all pharmacy technicians at your site of this change. As an ACPE accredited provider, ICHP will continue to include Technician specific programming in most if not all of our CPE programming. For PTCB recertification, CPhTs may use up to 5 hours of P-specific credit hours and CPhT-Adv up to 10 hours of P-specific credit hours.
