Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this knowledge-based continuing pharmacy education activity, pharmacist participants should be able to:
  • Identify appropriate candidates for antiviral therapy based on risk for influenza-related complications, in accordance with current guideline recommendations
  • Differentially diagnose influenza based on clinical presentation and accurate interpretation of appropriate diagnostic tests when necessary
  • Recommend individualized antiviral treatment plans for patients with influenza based on current data and unique agent characteristics
  • Advise on influenza prophylaxis based on evidence and in accordance with guideline recommendations

  • Identify appropriate candidates for antiviral therapy based on risk for influenza-related complications, in accordance with current guideline recommendations
  • Differentially diagnose influenza based on clinical presentation and accurate interpretation of appropriate diagnostic tests when necessary
  • Recommend individualized antiviral treatment plans for patients with influenza based on current data and unique agent characteristics

Please know that if accurate e-Profile information is not pro-vided within 60 days of the event, credit cannot be claimed after that time.       PTCB requires CPhTs to submit 20 hours of pharmacy technician-specific (‘T-specific’) continuing pharmacy education (CPE) to qualify for recertification. Please advise all pharmacy technicians at your site of this change. As an ACPE accredited provider, ICHP will continue to include Technician specific programming in most if not all of our CPE programming.
