Register below. This program is free to ICHP members. You must register online in advance to attend this program. The cost for non-members to attend is $20. You may attend once as a non-member for free but thereafter must join ICHP as a member. However, those who do not attend and do not cancel within 48 hours of the program will be charged $20.00 to cover expenses. Members who attend the meeting will not be charged the fee. Please bring a copy of your registration verification form with you to the meeting. There is limited seating, so register early.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this knowledge-based continuing pharmacy education activity, pharmacist participants should be able to:

1. Identify rates of abuse of select drugs.
2. Recognize the sensitivities of toxicology screenings.
3. Discuss treatment methodology for select drug overdose.
4. Discuss treatment methodology for select drug withdrawal.
5. Identify potentially valuable third-party clinical resources.

At the conclusion of this knowledge-based continuing pharmacy education activity, pharmacy technician participants should be able to:

1. Identify rates of abuse of select drugs.
2. Recognize the signs of drug withdrawal and common medications used.
3. List common signs of drug overdose and common medications used.
4. Identify the potential use of lipid therapy in the drug overdose population.
5. Identify valuable third party clinical resources.

      Target Audience: This knowledge-based activity was developed for Health-System Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians

      PTCB requires CPhTs to submit 20 hours of pharmacy technician-specific (‘T-specific’) continuing pharmacy education (CPE) to qualify for recertification. Please advise all pharmacy technicians at your site of this change. As an ACPE accredited provider, ICHP will continue to include Technician specific programming in most if not all of our CPE programming.
