Register below. This program is free to ICHP members. You must register online in advance to attend this program. The cost for non-members to attend is $20. You may attend once as a non-member for free but thereafter must join ICHP as a member. However, those who do not attend and do not cancel within 48 hours of the program will be charged $20.00 to cover expenses. Members who attend the meeting will not be charged the fee. Please bring a copy of your registration verification form with you to the meeting. There is limited seating, so register early.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this knowledge-based continuing pharmacy education activity, pharmacist participants should be able to:

1. Recognize the difference between primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease with aspirin.
2. Discuss how the new primary prevention aspirin studies relate to the patient populations seen in practice.
3. Indicate which patients would be appropriate to initiate aspirin for primary prevention of cardiovascular disease.
4. Explain what dose of aspirin is required for primary prevention of cardiovascular disease based on patient specific factors.

      PTCB requires CPhTs to submit 20 hours of pharmacy technician-specific (‘T-specific’) continuing pharmacy education (CPE) to qualify for recertification. Please advise all pharmacy technicians at your site of this change. As an ACPE accredited provider, ICHP will continue to include Technician specific programming in most if not all of our CPE programming.
