Represent your profession and speak directly to legislators and staff regarding the critical issues facing pharmacy. It is vital that your legislators become more knowledgeable on the role of pharmacy in augmenting healthcare.

Learn about key issues and how to discuss them with your legislators. Join your fellow pharmacists, students & techs and become part of the solution. Don’t miss this opportunity to let your collective voices be heard!

Jointly sponsored by Illinois Council of Health-System Pharmacists and the Illinois Pharmacists Association. For the past nine years, ICHP and IPhA have joined forces to let lawmakers know that pharmacists stand united.

Motorcoach: Bus transportation to and from Springfield will be available. Be sure to mark your pickup location on the registration form. Departure times to follow.

The Illinois Council of Health System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.  This activity provides 1.0 hour (0.1 CEU) of continuing pharmacy education credit.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this knowledge-based continuing pharmacy education activity, pharmacist participants should be able to:

1. Discuss the current pharmacy-related bills before the General Assembly.
2. Identify the positive and negative outcomes of passage of each piece of pharmacy-related legislation on patients, the health care system and individual health care providers.
3. Discuss the current status of each pharmacy-related legislative initiative in order to assist and inform members of the General Assembly.
4. Describe a positive interaction with members of the General Assembly so that channels of communication are open for pharmacy-related issues.

At the conclusion of this knowledge-based continuing pharmacy education activity, pharmacy technician participants should be able to:

1. Discuss the current pharmacy-related bills before the General Assembly.

Instructions for completing CPE credit will be distributed at the meeting. Attendees must complete a program evaluation online at www.CESally.com to receive CPE credit.

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation must be received 7 days in advance of the event for a full refund and 48 hours in advance in order to receive a refund of 50% of fees paid. Cancellations of less than 48 hours and "no shows" will receive no refund.
