In
an effort to help control costs and run the meetings more
efficiently, ICHP will begin charging a fee to members who register

At the present time, neither
the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) nor the Illinois
Board of Pharmacy requires technicians to participate in ‘T,’ or
technician-specific continuing education for re-certification or
relicensure purposes. Therefore, technicians are welcome to
participate in programming that is either ‘P’ or ‘T’ and will
receive CE credit for either type, provided they meet all applicable
program requirements.
In order to receive
continuing pharmaceutical education credit, meeting attendees must
complete speaker and program evaluations for programs they attend
and turn them in on site at the conclusion of the educational
session. Attendees will receive statements of CE credit
approximately 30 days following the program.
Please
note: Office of the Inspector General of the United States has
determined that it is unethical for non-pharmacists and non-pharmacy
related personnel to attend programs that are supported by
pharmaceutical manufacturers. In order to help the pharmaceutical
manufacturers be in compliance with these regulations, onsite staff
is now going to check everyone in at the door and any non-pharmacy
related personnel will not be admitted even if they with to pay for
their meal.
